Torque Washers

Torque Washers, or Anti-Turn Washers have square holes that are designed for use with a carriage bolt, and have prongs that bite into the wood to stop the head of the carriage bolt turning. The finished square hole in the washer mates with the square shoulder of the carriage bolt preventing the rotation of the washer, making the washer self-retaining.
